UltraPoS - Leveling the playing field for smaller travel agents & bureaux de change

Complex and expensive software has been available and affordable to the larger high street travel agents and multiples for a long time now but it is only recently that the trend has emerged to democratise this field and end their monopoly in being able to afford the best systems on the market.
At the vanguard of this process is UltraPos from SCL, a newly-released travellers cheque and foreign exchange automation package. UltraPoS offers the same features and functionality to individual travel agencies and bureaux de change as it does to the household name operators, at a price that they can afford and that offers significant enhancements to their margins.
Through their utilisation of the latest advances in software development, SCL have been able to ensure that UltraPos will run equally efficiently on a single workstation or an Enterprise network with thousands of users.
UltraPoS is SCL's third generation travellers cheque and currency exchange automation system, building on the experience gained from the success of the first two iterations, through which billions of dollars of transactions have been processed worldwide.
SCL are therefore in the unique position of understanding the business drivers of both the retailer and the issuer, as well as having mastered the complexities of the underlying technology.
The beneficial factors of UltraPoS for the retailer are; Return On Investment (ROI), minimising error, increased efficiency, more productive staff and having another product offering for the consumer, thus enabling the business to add maximum value and develop a true full-service offering.
Retailers will therefore be protecting their margins, maximising the incentives available from the cheque issuers and preventing customers from "straying elsewhere".
The cheque issuer also benefits from the deployment of automation software, such as UltraPoS, again through the greater efficiency and reduction in errors of non-manual transaction processing and the greater knowledge and control on offer, minimising the likelihood of fraud.
SCL is based in Brighton and was established 12 years ago. The company prides itself on expertise, quality and technical competence, as well as remaining focused by placing its clients at the centre of its strategy; also SCL's strategic vision is highly client-focused enabling the flexibility that underpins every aspect of UltraPoS.
The system is entirely free from dependence on any travellers cheque issuer, technology platform or delivery channel, offering maximum performance with minimum intrusion into customers' business processes or technology choices.
