Deployment and Rollout Engineer
As a result of continuing expansion we need to recruit a Deployment and Rollout Engineer. As a member of the Support Team the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the deployment of client requirements from handover of setup specification to delivery of a live release. This will include the deployment of software and configuration onto a UNIX based production environment through configuration and setup of coded modules or shell scripts onto application and web servers.
The role will interface with internal departments such as Client and Project Managers, QA, Technical and Development with the potential to participate in client facing meetings on larger deployments. This role can include some 'out of normal office hours' work but does provide the opportunity for working shifted working patterns. The role will also entail resolving issues related to live client setups either with internal staff or the client via phone or ticket support queues.
Experience
Essential:
- Experience of working in a deployment or client deliverable based environment.
- Structured working practices including ticketing systems and documentation.
- Experience of UNIX command line interface (preferably Solaris)
- Ability to understand shell scripting constructs SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of general file transfer methods.
Desired:
- Industry knowledge of Foreign Exchange, Prepaid Cards, Bank or Travel industries.
- Experience of working in a Commercial Service Provider environment.
- Experience of creating and using shell scripts.
- Experience of working in a PCI and security aware environment and use of encryption technologies
Salary: £20K-£28K depending on experience

JavaScript Developer
The successful candidate will primarily be working on the user interface of our web-based point of sale software, alongside other JavaScript and server-side developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing new features for the application, working alongside other developers
- Improving the usability of the user interface
- Fixing bugs in existing code
Experience
Essential:
- Commercial JavaScript development
- User Interface design
- Object Oriented JavaScript
- Thorough understanding of UI principles
- DOM & DHTML programming
- CSS
Desired:
- Using jQuery
- Using JSON
- Application Service Provider (ASP) systems
- Targeting Tablet browsers (e.g. Android and iPad)
- UML
- XML/XSLT
- Java or C++
- Working knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux environments
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
